Our Story
St Joseph's School Barmera
Our school was established in 1954 by the Sisters of St Joseph, who come from a long line of educators and, inspired by Mary MacKillop, have been a major influence in the development of Catholic education in Australia.
Our school motto ‘In all things love’ reflects the Sisters’ commitment to providing a compassionate and caring atmosphere for all students and staff.
At St Joseph’s School Barmera, the emphasis is placed on developing strong interpersonal relationships and a sense of community. This is achieved through a student-centred learning approach, which encourages students to take responsibility for their own learning and to work collaboratively with others.
We seek to foster a culture of love, respect and understanding among students and staff.
Our commitment to providing quality education and a safe and nurturing learning environment make us a popular choice among parents and students alike.
St Joseph’s School Barmera has a long-standing reputation for excellence in education, and is known for producing well-rounded, confident, and compassionate individuals who are equipped to make a difference in the world.
